X-men Blue #8 review
X-Men blue by Cullen Bunn and Corey Smith
WOW! what a fun and intense issue this was. It picks up where we left off with Havok and his team beating the X-men and taking them all in custody except for Jean and Jimmy. This issue is very Jean/Jimmy heavy, with other characters only getting a page or two pretty much, and it works very well. Both those characters play off each other very well and I'm almost wondering if Bunn is low key setting up a romance between the two.
As a big Cyclops fan I was particularly excited to see how Emma was gonna react with him this issue and I was not disappointed at all. You can tell she does have a soft spot for the young hero and even talked to him as a former lover at times which seemed to confuse the young hero. I almost even thought for a minute that she was gonna put old Scott's mind inside of young Scott which would have been interesting.
Other than that it was a pretty fast paced issue with a few twists and turns that i never saw coming and Corey Smiths art is just beautiful. I'm gonna give X-Men Blue an A+ because this is easily the best issue yet, the only problem I could see people having with this issue is that it is a really fast read.
