Playmates Ben 10 Display // NYTF2019
Continuing with our Toy Fair coverage, You Don't Read Comics brings you the latest on Playmates' Toys' Ben 10 line of figures.
Like their Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles offerings, Playmates has broken down the Ben 10 line in a variety of size assortments and price points. Most prominently we have the Ben 10 Basic figures and Vehicles which feature Ben's many alien forms including new additions to the reboot such as Hot Shot and Slapback. We are particularly impressed with the Rath figure, which features impressively detailed sculpted fur.
Then there are the smaller Alien Creature Figures which have mix and match capability, and larger Transforming figures which have a torso and head swapping gimmick very reminiscent of Bandai's old Power Rangers line.
Finally, there's a variety of role play toys based on Ben's transforming device the Omnitrix. Playmates have developed multiple iterations of the Omnitrix with different playability, including the new Alien Game Omnitrix which plays four different games.
