The Justice Doom War has begun, Scott Snyder, James Tynion IV, and Jorge Jimenez send the heroes across time in hopes of fixing the present. The three creatives continue to fuse into one cohesive voice and deliver a genuinely spectacular chapter to this new arc. With deep cuts stretching back to the very origin of DC's publication history, all the way to the end of time and beyond, this series delivers the exciting blockbuster for fans to clamor over.
With the League split into thirds and sent across time, the Legion of Doom simultaneously is on their own search for the Anti-Monitor before the heroes can turn him to their side. With Green Lantern and the Flash left in the past alongside the heart forgotten Justice Society of America. The trinity finds themselves at the end of time alongside Jack Kirby's Kamandi before meeting with their counterparts from the 853 century. The issue sets the stage for what is still to come before an ominous ending closes out this chapter.
Jorge Jimenez's ability to create motion within these static images brings every page to life. A more quiet issue this time around, Jimenez's character works stand in all their glory in his unmistakable signature style. The absolutely perfect choice to reintroduce readers to this handful and nearly forgotten characters, Jimenez continues to produce his best work with every new issue. Alejandra Sanchez matches Jimenez perfectly once again with all of his glorious colors, layering each page in magnificent hues.
James Tynion IV And Scott Snyder continue to compliment each other to a tee. Both creatives blended into a single voice and vomited to bring this title towering over any contemporaries. The duo eloquently and resurrect the past and future of the DCU. While adding their own marks on the universe as a whole in creative and organic ways. As the series continues, each chapter perpetually creates more excitement and stakes than the one before it.
The series continues to defy expectations and leave fans clamoring for more with each new chapter. Snyder and Tynion work magnificently together on writing duties while Jorge Jimenez does the work of a lifetime on this flagship title with his spectacular artwork. The stakes continue to rise, as the fate of the Multiverse lies in the Legion of Doom's clutches. It's up to the Justice League and their very own "time-heist," to save the day.
