Lando Double or Nothing #1 Review
Written by Rodney Barnes with art by Paulo Villanelli and colors by Andres Mossa
Lando double or nothing sets as a prequel to Solo a Star Wars story, it works as showing more background for fan favorite character Lando Calrissian played by actor/rapper/comedian Donald Glover. This issue is a great read that’s got plenty of action and thrills for any Star Wars fan or just comic fan in general.
The plot of this first issue is fairly basic, some freedom fighters are wanting Lando’s help smuggling an enslaved group of people from the Empire. Where this issue shines is the banter between L3 and Lando and the dialogue that fits very in line with the Solo film itself, throughout the issue you can hear Donald Glover and Waller-Bridges voices as you read their dialogue. The art department also does a great job recreating the looks from the movie so that it fits very in line with the film.
Overall this is a really good comic by if you haven’t seen the Solo film then you may be missing out some. But if you’re looking for a good fun read and especially if you’re a fan of Star Wars then def give this a go. I’m gonna give it a B+
